Sending love this holiday season
VIA pinkgeek! awesome idea. glad we get the opportunity!
Hey Geeks!
So on the news today at lunch they had this story about a little boy that had a rare form brain cancer not 1, but 2 times!! There was a 2% chance the chemotherapy drugs could cause leukemia, but they were willing to take that chance to get rid of the cancer. Well unfortunately for this little boy, it cured the cancer, but he now has leukemia.
All they are asking for is get well cards, and I think it is a fantastic idea! I am sending one, and thought some of the geeks here would want to as well. This is such a sad story, especially when it comes to kids battling illness. I can only imagine how happy it makes him feel when opening all of those cards!
I’ve attached the article so you can read all about it, but here is his address:
Send cards to:

Please pass this along to anyone you know, and let’s try to cheer up this little boy that has been through so much!

SocialGeek here again….
As the holiday season continues, I hope that we can all take part in this. It amazes me that this little boy who has been subjected to so much pain, hurt, and suffering could simply ask for get well cards this year. His bravery & courage astounds me. I think all of the Geeks here at AccessoryGeeks.com can take Joey’s story and learn from it. He is definitely being bravely unique and as he has had to embrace the changes of his afflictions, he still seems to have a smile and love to share. We all have our troubles and conflicts and issues but when in those times of hardship, do we bear a smile? Or a friendly hello even? I think it is important that even in the hard times, that we remember to respect and encourage one another. I think Joey would fit in well here at Geek headquarters and could teach us all a lesson or two.
